SQA

Many of the activities in Skills Express can be used to support the delivery of selected units within the National Progression Award (NPA) in Enterprise and Employability.

The NPA in Enterprise and Employability is a new development which combines work- based and work- related learning across a range of SQA units. It is likely that it will complement activities students within your organisation are already undertaking.

For full information on assessment and verification, contexts and suggested delivery methods, consult the relevant SQA NAB or ASP.

The SQA Arrangement documents for the awards, outlining the rationale, aims and structure are available here (PDF) or link to http://www.sqa.org.uk/sqa/files_ccc/NPA_E_E_Arrangements_Doc.pdf

Detailed advice on the combination of Units for the award can also be found in the Arrangements document.

Support for online delivery of the NPA qualification

We want to support you to deliver enterprise and employability skills in the context of current educational priorities and curricular developments.

So we’ve produced a range of support materials that you can pick and mix depending on your priorities. We have deliberately built in flexibility to Skills Express resources so you can:

  • use them to meet student needs in different contexts and
  • use them to complement your existing resources

Features include:

  • a secure administrative area for registering individual students and tracking their progress
  • a range of forms and templates which students can use to record their progress
  • the Skills Express blog to record evidence (in a variety of formats) of their activities and achievements
  • activities and suggested resources you can access to supplement delivery of the units

This is not a stand-alone tutor support pack, but a menu of options you can use at your discretion to support and complement your existing resources.
