
Enterprise Activity
This unit is designed to help you to develop your individual skills through your contribution to a team devising and arranging an enterprise activity. You will set personal goals for developing your skills, reflect on what you have learned and relate this to your future plans.
You will have the opportunity to test your skills and take an in depth look at yourself, your strengths and weaknesses and review your progress as a result of participating in an enterprise project.
Key features for development include:
- Research and analysis
- Forming effective working relationships
- Developing leadership skills
- Taking initiative and responsibility
You will be working as part of a group, but you will also be recording your progress as an individual.
You will be able to consult your tutor for advice at any stage, but you are expected to work with the minimum of support.
So that you get the most out of your project it should:

- be related to your future career plans

For this outcome you will first complete an in depth self assessment to help you tailor your enterprise activity to realistic personal goals. You will then
- Research the information you need to arrange a suitable enterprise activity
- Make detailed plans for organising the enterprise activity once you have made your decision
- Negotiate your role within the team
- Keep records of your plans, how you carry them out and how you cope with changing them when circumstances change

Take a leading role in your enterprise activity
In this outcome you will practise enterprise skills which demonstrate your ability to:
